Sensei Miller started his martial arts training at 1975 with Shorin Ryu Karate, which he practiced for 4 years. At 1981 he began training in Muso Shin Den Ryu iaido in Misawa, city Japan while in the armed services. In 1986 he began aikido training with sensei Wirth, and in 1999 began training in Kendo. He practices aikido, iaido and kendo at this time. Sensei Miller holds yondan in aikido, shodan in iaido, and ikkyu in kendo.
